Osamu Tezuka (手塚 治虫, born 手塚 治, Tezuka Osamu; 3 November 1928 – 9 February 1989) was a Japanese manga artist, cartoonist, and animator. Born in Osaka Prefecture, his prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the Father of Manga" (マンガの父, Manga no Chichi), "the Godfather of Manga" (マンガの教父, Manga no Kyōfu) and "the God of Manga" (マンガの神様, Manga no Kami-sama). Additionally, he is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during Tezuka's formative years.
The 1963 black & white version of Astroboy was the first anime to cross the Pacific and penetrate American television. It was highly successful as it drew the highest ratings at that time. It was later taken off the air in 1966 as it completed its 104 episode run (193 episodes in Japan) and was losing its popularity due to its non-colour and "depressing" themes and story lines. In 1980 however, Astroboy was reborn in Japan and was brought back to North America in 1982 in a 51 episode colour series (52 episodes in Japan).

どろろを村へ残し、百鬼丸は独りで魔物を倒す旅へ出る。戦い続けた百鬼丸は47体目の魔物を仕留め、失っていた片腕を取り戻す。後一体倒せば人並みの身体へ戻ることができると勇む百鬼丸であったが、最後の魔物の一体とは醍醐景光であると知る。百鬼丸は仕官を装い景光に近づくが、企みを看破され責めを受ける。しかし、その様に耐えられず縫の方が百鬼丸を庇い、逆に今までの景光の行いを責める。妻から責められた景光は激憤し、縫の方や部下を殺害して地獄堂へと向かう。景光は再度力を求めて自らの体を差し出そうとするが、既にその体は人でなくなっていると魔物に嘲笑われ発狂する。そこへ後を追ってきた百鬼丸と対峙、実の親を斬るのかといきり立つが、魔物に心を奪われたあんたは親でないと斬り捨てられ、景光は地獄堂と共に焼け落ちる。最後の魔物を倒した百鬼丸は失われた身体の部位をすべて取り戻すが、もう誰とも会いたくないとどろろとも再会することもなく姿を消す。
Aldin, a poor traveling water seller, falls in love with Miriam, a slave woman on auction in Baghdad, but Havasalakum, the son of the chief of police, buys her. Before he can take her home, a sand storm interrupts the auction. Aldin uses the opportunity to steal away the slave woman, rescuing her from slavery. They hide from pursuing guards in a seemingly empty mansion. They have sex there, and are secretly watched by the master of the mansion, Sulaiman, who locks them in and commands them to continue. Havasalakum and his guards invade the mansion, where he finds them and takes Miriam. Badli, the right-hand man of the chief of police, murders Sulaiman. Aldin is tortured and sent to prison by mistake for the murder of Sulaiman.

The Last Mystery of the 20th Century, also known as "Osamu Tezuka's Strangest Case in the 20th Century" has an all-star cast of Tezuka's most famous characters. Osamu Tezuka is invited to a new years party at a mansion owned by Dr. Tenma, and the guests attending the party are all of Osamu Tezuka's creations, suddenly Mr. Tezuka disappears and it quickly becomes a mystery special, with all of his most famous characters trying to find him before the rest of the guests show up.
主人公ロミとそのパートナーは、終末を迎えつつあった地球を離れ、新たな生活を始めるべく惑星エデン17へと向かう。しかしその惑星の生命はすでに絶滅しており、ロミはさらに苦労を強いられることとなり……。
