On the forest moon of Endor, tucked into a tiny village known as Bright Tree, a band of furry creatures named the Ewoks live in huts high up in the trees. Of the many creatures that live in the forest, the friendliest are Wicket, a young scout, and his friends Princess Kneesaa, Latara, Teebo, and Paploo. They live in a world filled with magical creatures. Some are good friends to the Ewoks, others are troublesome. When any of the Ewoks gets into a scrape, they all band together to help each other out.
The Ewoks return – this time to aid two children searching for their lost parents. The crash of the Towani family's starcruiser on the forest moon of Endor and the separation of two children from their parents sets into motion an incredible adventure that takes four-year-old Cindel Towani, and her older brother, Mace, into the unfamiliar world of the Ewoks. At first frightened, Cindel is quick to respond to the Ewoks' kindness. Brash and protective, Mace is wary of these awkward creatures and their primitive culture. But the Ewoks' pastoral life belies the wisdom, magic and fierce courage they will bring to bear against the arduous terrain, inhospitable inhabitants and unimaginable hazards that stand between the reunification of the Towani children and their missing parents.
An army of evil Marauders, led by the towering King Terak and his cunning companion witch, Charal, attack the Ewok village and capture many of the Ewoks. Wicket and young Cindel manage to evade capture and escape into the forest where they encounter a mischievous furry creature names Teek, who leads them to a seemingly abandoned home belonging to Noa, a grouchy old hermit. When the Marauders strike again, they capture Cindel, so Noa, Wicket and Teek must rush to save the girl and the Ewoks from the dark fortress of King Terak.
