The story is set in the backdrop of Thoothukudi. Saravanaperumal (Prabhu (actor)) is a rich businessman, and Subbiah (Vijayakumar (actor)) and his daughter Sakunthaladevi (Nadhiya) are his business rivals. Bharaniputhiran (Vishal (actor)) is Saravanan's nephew. Bhanumathi (Bhanu (actress)) is a college student who falls for Bharani and keeps following him. Bharani comes to know that Bhanu is Sakunthaladevi's only daughter and suspects her behavior and hence does not reciprocate love.
