南野小学校5年生の少年・江戸城本丸は、同級生の美少女・河合伊代菜に片思い中。そんなある日、絵本作家の父から借りた魔法の本から、大魔法使い・タルるートくんが現れた！友達になった2人は、学校や近所を舞台に、魔法を使ったドタバタ騒ぎを巻き起こす。
