「ぽよぽよザウルス」とは、新米パパ＆ママにとっての子供たちのこと。 一見“ぽよぽよ”と柔らかいけど、その破壊力は怪獣並の“ザウルス”たちは、 時に怒り、泣き、叫び、そして甘え、大人の都合なんて全くおかまい無し。ワガママで可愛い怪獣たちに、 若いパパとママは振り回されながら、今日もしつけに四苦八苦している。平凡な一家族である保与田（ぽよた）家を舞台にした、 “ザウルス”と新米パパ＆ママの子育て奮闘記。婦人生活社「プチタンファン」に連載された同名コミックを原作にしたアニメーション。
