保险推销员杨天真（陈数 饰）在胡同里救了被车撞伤的老人，却不料被当成了肇事者。家属一番数落不说，连工资卡也扣下了。回家的公交车上，她遇到了多年不见的大学同学郑现实（林永健 饰），才知道他竟然就是车祸的目击者。郑现实不仅替杨天真作证，还收留了被房东赶出来无家可归的母女二人 。这一切都是因为郑现实在大学时代就暗恋杨天真，将其视为女神，不过当年出身贫寒不敢妄想，如今总算有了机会。 随即他对天真展开了热烈的追求，在社会上屡屡遇挫的天真逐渐被他的真诚所感动。同是二婚的两人，以为马上可以拥有简单温馨的婚姻。却不想遭到了郑现实家里的强烈反对。与此同时，天真的花心前夫成铭（王亚楠 饰）和女儿虫虫（刘宸希 饰）都希望天真能够回心转意，回到从前的家。一不做二不休的天真索性偷偷和现实领了结婚证，引起了一场又一场的家庭大战……
