Defective Clone Trooper Danson Delta-40 takes his first steps as a soldier with his friend, Bhiff. His superior, Alpha-12, is concerned over Danson’s lack of training. Their first mission: recover precious Mygeetian power crystals during the epic Battle of Utapau, an event that will change Danson’s fate forever.
Danson tries to adjust to life in the future, with the aid of former Clone Troopers Bhiff Gamma-09, Percy “Scout” Beta-266, and Rook, the prototype Dark Trooper. When they give the inquisitive clone a tour of his new home, the Death Star, Danson runs into new lying machines and an old… acquaintance.
Scout finishes checking Danson back into the Army, Alpha tries to sneak past his jerk of a boss onto a mission to Tatooine, and Danson & Bhiff get closer to an infamous Cantina, where they run into Teflin McBomb performing his own brand of interrogation after some “violent incidents” that occurred. When the local Jawa riffraff catch up with our Clone heroes, Bhiff is forced to make a very tough choice that changes the course of Danson’s journey.
Abandoned on Tatooine, Danson is struggling to find a new direction for his life when he runs into a long-lost buddy from his days on Kamino: Boba Fett–now all grown up, but not quite the bounty hunter of legend… yet. Danson’s first journey outside the military takes him from another “violent incident” in the Cantina to the depths of Jabba’s palace, filled with chilling droid torture, witless minions, and, of course, an audience with the big guy himself.
In this the first of two parts, Alpha finally gets his career back in gear just as Danson tries out his first civilian job: working for Boba Fett! On his first bounty hunt, Danson gets to see firsthand what his new friend Boba is like while working, and stumbles upon an unexpected green creature living on the swampy planet Dagobah. Meanwhile, Scout happily joins Alpha on his new mission, while Bhiff is less than thrilled about it, and Rook… appears to have no feelings.
In the second of two parts, Alpha continues his constant–and convoluted–pursuit of AWOL clone Danson Delta-40. As Alpha takes his small team to the sunny streets of Mos Eisley and the shady bowels of Jabba’s palace, Rook takes advantage of his first opportunity to interact with… lesser alien species. Meanwhile, Danson gets a little helping hand from Yoda to get off Dagobah and continue pursuing his destiny.
Danson returns to the Death Star in a last-ditch effort to get back to his old time–successfully negotiating Imperial docking procedures, Probe Droids, trash compactors, and the best efforts of Alpha Team–all the while unaware that the Rebels are growing ever closer to a two-meter wide exhaust port.
Alpha Team regroups on the other side of their first temporal displacement. Where are they? When? Why can’t they find Danson? And how long ’til someone turns on the damn heat in this place? In this final episode of A CLONE APART’s first season, Alpha mistakes Hoth for Yavin IV, Rook finally finds a Rebel Base, and Danson re-examines his destiny…and finally gets to meet a lady!
