Before first light, Paul and Sheryl sail from Ithaca towards the shallow Bay of Corinth. They stop at the remote island of Trizonia where a young English woman has established a little yacht club to support her mother who is battling cancer. Driving inland, the Shards visit the ancient site of Delphi, home of the Delphi Oracle. They continue sailing down the bay and enter the Corinth Canal, a historic canal that divides the Greek mainland from the peninsula of Pelopónissos. When they exit from the other end they are in the Aegean Sea.
