The focus of the RTL-Zwei documentary series are the doctors and nurses of the Catholic Children's Hospital Wilhelmstift in Hamburg, who are accompanied in their daily work. They are supported by a "doll doctor" who acts as a consolation and friend for the little patients. dr Dago is a doll dressed as a doctor, equipped with a small camera in the stethoscope. This is intended to give viewers a very personal and up-close insight into everyday hospital life. All the important moments and stations of the little patients are recorded on camera - in consultation and with the consent of the children and their parents, as RTL Zwei emphasizes. dr Dago wants to playfully take away the children's fears and give them courage.
