A self employed salad chef saves the life of an important citizen, gets rewarded, and takes us on a surreal journey through her amazingly fantastic futuristic neighborhood.

The backstory to how the legendary Pete (the man everyone adores) got his guitar and how it ended up with Connor. Pete is a citizen of Shade who has prophetic visions of a King of Them All that he believes he must seek out. This journey leads him to the deserts of the Dustlands, where he comes across freeway pirates, pterodactyl-masked people and a mall buried under the sands. In the end, he must fight for his life and commits a crime that is such a burden for him to bear that he gives up his guitar.
