    On May 18, 2020, Michelle Boat, 56, was charged with the murder of Tracy Mondabough, 47. Enraged and jealous over her estranged husband’s relationship with Mondabough, Boat decided to kill the one person she believed was standing in the way of her reconciliation with Nick Boat. The Pella woman had stabbed her estranged husband's girlfriend to death, and prosecutors said during the trial that Mondabough's blood was found in Boat's car and that Boat's DNA was found in Mondabough's hair. Boat was found guilty of first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

  • S02E07 Craig Finney

    In the early hours of June 17th, 2011, Craig Finney went to ex-girlfriend Patty Harker's house with a shotgun after seeing her leave a bar with Benjamin Shimmin. Finney in a jealous rage kicked open the door to Harker’s home and fired one shot through the bathroom door where Shimmin was hiding. Finney shot Harker in the back as she attempted to flee. Before fleeing the scene, Finney shot himself. He was apprehended in Missouri by police the next day. In order to avoid the other charges, Finney plead guilty to attempted murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. On April 25, 2013, Harker died from complications caused by the gunshot wounds and Finney was charged with first-degree murder. The jury found him guilty of a second-degree murder charge, carrying a maximum prison sentence of 50 years.

  • S02E08 Andy Rodriguez

    In September 2009, 17-year-old Andy Rodriguez stabbed fellow classmate Juan Rivera five times using a box cutter, using enough force to even pierce his heart. Security footage of the incident shocked many in the quiet and affluent town of Coral Gables. The attack escalated from an argument in which Rodriguez had confronted Rivera regarding the former’s girlfriend. Classmates stated that Rodriguez had developed strong feelings of jealousy after Rivera had accepted rides to school from his girlfriend. Rodriguez was arrested shortly after the incident and was denied bond. In 2011, a jury found Rodriguez to be guilty of second-degree murder. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison and 10 years of probation.

  • S02E09 Pedro Bravo

    On October 8, 2012, Pedro Bravo was indicted for the kidnapping and first degree murder of University of Florida freshman Christian Aguilar. Bravo, also a Florida college student, was the last person seen with Aguilar on September 20th, the night Aguilar disappeared. Upon further investigation, authorities discovered Bravo had been distraught after his ex-girlfriend, Friman, began dating his friend, Aguilar. Bravo became obsessed with separating the couple. Blinded by jealousy, Bravo even concocted a plan to kill Aguilar, believing he could be reunited with Friman. During the trial, Bravo’s incredibly detailed journal was used as evidence. The journal not only contained his obsession with Friman and his desire to “win her back”, but also how he intended to get away with the murder of Aguilar, who he had known since middle school. In the end, Bravo was convicted and sentenced to life in prison

  • S02E10 William Ubando

    William Espinosa Ubando was arrested at his co-worker’s house on September 20, 2010 for the brutal beating of his girlfriend, Ritchie Lei Lusung Campued. The couple, both married and with children, had met in December 2009 while working together in a care centre. Ditching their partners, Ubando and Campued moved in together, but the relationship soon soured as Ubando became obsessive; When Campued wanted to break it off, Ubando began threatening to kill her. Following a confrontation, the 41-yr old man retrieved a baseball bat from his car and thrashed his girlfriend of 10 months to death with it. Desperate, Ubando piled the body into the passenger seat of his car and began driving around. With nowhere to turn, he called his ex-wife and confessed before arriving at his co-workers house. Ubando was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

  • S02E11 Joann Katrinak

    On December 15, 1994, Joann Katrinak and her 3-month-old son, Alex, disappeared from their home in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. Four months later, authorities found both bodies in Heidelberg Township. After eliminating Andrew Katrinak, Joann’s husband, as a suspect, police moved onto Patricia Rorrer, Andrew’s ex-girlfriend. Rorrer had called the Katrinak household only 3 days before Joann and her baby disappeared. Rorrer had asked to speak with Andrew, who was home during the call, but Joann refused to pass over the phone to him. Investigators suspect this action triggered Rorrer’s jealous rage and drove her to kill. The case against Rorrer relied heavily on six hairs recovered from Joann’s car as well as two strands that were found where the bodies had been dumped. DNA testing showed that Rorrer could not be excluded as the source of the hairs. In addition to these findings, the bodies of Joann and Alex had been found along a rural trail where Rorrer used to ride horses. Rorrer was c

  • S02E12 Mike Gunther

    On May 23, 2004, 48-year-old Michael Gunther shot 36-year-old Michael Zawodny 11 times at a carnival which was set up near Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Gunther’s murderous actions were the result of a jealous rage after he found out 45-year-old Sally Kennedy, an operator of the Blues Amusement Carnival with whom he shared a romantic relationship, was “sleeping with” other men, one of whom was Zawodny. Gunther and Kennedy were staying in a camping trailer that was parked in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after arguing with Kennedy in her trailer, Gunther killed her and headed to the carnival, where Gunther found Zawodny and killed him in front of several witnesses. A Sarpy County, Nebraska, jury did not take long to find Gunther guilty of the murder of Michael Zawodny and he received life imprisonment as to the first degree murder conviction
