終電の発車時刻以降に、街頭で「タクシー代を出すので家について行ってイイですか?」と番組制作者が声をかけ、同意を得られた人の帰宅路に同行し、住居を訪問してインタビューする。番組出演の可否を確認する過程で『番組スタッフは腕章と身分証を提示しており、金銭を要求する事は無い』と字幕で表示される。対象者の帰宅先が徒歩圏の場合は、タクシー代金ではなくコンビニエンスストアなどの買い物代金を立て替える場合もあり、帰宅先が遠距離でも距離を問わず同行する。
