The TV series from 2011, based on the 2009 cinema film of the same title. The series, like the film, is a Polish-Slovak-Czech-Hungarian co-production directed by Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik, based on a screenplay by Eva Borušovičova. The series version has an extensive political plot, as well as the plot of the daughter of the innkeeper Susanna and her robber lover.
