หนูมาลีเด็กสาวกำพร้าแม่ เธออาศัยอยู่กับปู่เชื้อ และย่าหงส์ ที่ต่างจังหวัด เมื่อเรียนจนจบมัธยม 6 ก็ตั้งใจมาตามหาพ่อเรืองยศ ที่กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งเธอได้เจอครั้งสุดท้ายเมื่อตอนยังเล็ก มีเพียงจดหมายเท่านั้น ที่ทำให้สองพ่อลูกติดต่อกันมาตลอด มาลีเข้ากรุงเทพ และได้พบกับอธิ นายตำรวจที่กำลังตามจับเด็กส่งยาเสพติด เกิดการเข้าใจผิด อธิคิดว่ามาลีเป็นเด็กส่งยา ด้วยท่าทางอันมีพิรุธของเธอ เพราะเพิ่งเข้ากรุงเทพเป็นครั้งแรก มาลีไม่ยอมให้จับ ทั้งเตะ
