Noch immer liegt Magnum im Koma. Erst als seine Mutter Katherine ihn besucht, kommt er wieder zu sich. Langsam kehrt Magnum ins Leben zurück, aber er kann kaum sprechen. Sein Erinnerungsvermögen scheint getrübt zu sein. Nur allmählich fällt ihm ein, dass er in eine Schießerei verwickelt war und schwer verwundet wurde. Drei der Männer, die ihn umbringen wollten, sind tot. Doch es muss noch ein vierter Killer dabei gewesen sein – und der läuft immer noch frei herum.
