Nachdem Earl ins Koma gefallen ist und sämtliche Versuche, ihn ins Leben zurückzuholen gescheitert sind, haben Randy und seine Freunde den kleinen, als 'Finger Gottes' bekannten Gerald an Earls Krankenbett geholt. Doch Gerald hat das Heilen vor einiger Zeit aufgegeben - und das aufgrund einer traumatischen Erfahrung, an der Earl und Joy nicht ganz unbeteiligt waren. Paris Hilton ist mit einem Gastauftritt dabei.
Nothing can get Earl out of his coma, so Randy turns to a young faith healer from their past. However, the boy says that he no longer heals people because he discovered how Earl lived his life after he "healed" him the first time.

Earl est dans le coma à la suite d'un accident, Randy trouve que les ambulanciers ne s'occupent pas de lui au profit de Billie (Alyssa Milano). Pendant ce temps là, Earl rêve de ce que pourrait être sa vie en compagnie de la jolie Billie.

Joy y Randy contactan con Gerald, un niño curandero que conocian de un antiguo show. Éste, que ya habia curado anteriormente a Earl y Joy, ya no quiere utilizar sus poderes al dudar de la bondad de las personas a las que curaba. Joy le tendrá que demostrar que es buena persona.
