    Replacing Tiswas (in the TVS area only), Ethel Davis opens the door to No 73 for the first time. Since she hates making sandwiches for all the guests, she tricks some of the guests into playing 'The Sandwich Game'.

    On the season opening of her Bed & Breakfast, Ethel keeps being locked out of the house.

    Ethel's guest house is a success, so the house has to be thoroughly cleaned to make room for all the guests.

    Ethel is about to leave on a skiing holiday but first Nicholas Parsons comes round to give her some expert quiz master advise. Chaos ensues as local con man Tony Deal visits and manages to squash Ethel's tea pot while riding an elephant.

    Ethel pretends to be her own cousin who comes to visit from Australia. At the very end, the actual cousin shows up.

    • April 13, 1985

    Martin wants revenge on Ethel for subjecting him to 'Game for a laugh' and locks her in the cellar. Ethel, for her part, manages to frame Martin for stealing bars of gold.

    Martin is directing a play he wrote while Bank manager Frederick Crossfield is looking for Ethel. Meanwhile, Ethel would rather stay away from both of them. However, the bed and breakfast didn't receive a star from the inspector who visited last week.

    The gang has organized a game of cricket, but because of a lack of space, it has to be played indoors. Meanwhile Bobby Davro is confusing everyone by pretending to be several famous people.

    Kim has put everybody on a strict, sporty diet. Ethel however keeps sneaking off to eat cake she has hidden everywhere.

    To celebrate the premiere of the latest 'Front Door Production', "The Three Musketeers", there is a French open day at No 73. The mayors of Maidstone and it's French counterpart Bouvier are expected, as well as 253 other guests, but there are only 4 chairs.

    With Ethel at her aunts, Fred and Eazi broadcast their community radio station Radio Shed (from the shed). They only have two records to play: "Tie a yellow ribbon" and "Two little boys".

    The Aroma Vision episode. Ethel is dating Frederick Crossfield, the bank manager. Harry and Dawn mistakenly think Crossfield already has two wives and 20 children.

    There street is having a funfair to raise money for the church bell (the one Neil broke during a game of cricket). Kim the fortuneteller gets Frederick to propose to Ethel.

    On her wedding day, Ethel is more interested in tennis tournaments. Dawn and Kim are bridesmaids, while Harry is the reluctant best man. He and Neil are having a hangover from the bachelor party.
