Chaque vignoble du monde procède d’une alliance entre le travail de l’homme et son environnement naturel. Des atolls polynésiens aux grands lacs canadiens en passant par la Kakhétie en Géorgie, les îles volcaniques de Lanzarote ou encore la province du Cap en Afrique du Sud, cette série explore la diversité et la richesse de la vigne, à terre mais aussi vue du ciel. La série documentaire en 20 épisodes « des vignes et des hommes » croise donc les champs de la géographie, de la biologie, de l’hydrologie, de l’histoire et des arts liés à la civilisation des vignes, éclairés par les hommes qui la cultivent et l’étudient.

Worldwide Wine Civilizations is an exceptional documentary series devoted to exploring winemaking regions around the globe. In addition to delving into a region’s wine production, each episode will also explore local history, its architecture, art, science, techniques, and a host of other subjects. Worldwide Wine Civilizations will feature breathtaking 4k aerial cinematography of the world’s most picturesque winemaking regions. With each episode, the spectator will be plunged into the heart of a winemaking civilization in Europe, from India to Patagonia, South America, North America, Asia, and Polynesia. This series will take viewers on a voyage through time and space, seeking out and discovering past and present civilizations, exploring their grandiose natural environments and their complex and multifaceted cultures.
