NY育ちの少年・オンは、ある日自分が天狗の末裔だと知らされる。天狗のしきたりにより、14歳の1年間、日本で暮らす兄・飯綱基（いづなもとい）と隠遁生活を送ることに。天狗といっても特別な力はなく、兄の関心は、もっぱら日々の食と素朴な暮らしに向けられるのだった。ある時、基の背中には天狗の末裔でも珍しい、”羽が生えている”ことを知る…。そして、基の飼い犬むぎが話しかけてくると、自分にも動物としゃべれる特殊な能力があることに気づくオン。 天狗の兄弟と取り巻く仲間たちの、ファンタジックで美味しいスローライフがはじまります。
