本作は、2010年4月27日に殺人罪などの公訴時効が廃止されたにもかかわらず、わずか2日の差で両親殺害事件の時効を迎えた“田鎖ブラザーズ”が、法ではもう裁けない犯人を自分たちの手で裁くべく警察官となり、事件の真相を追い続ける完全オリジナルのクライムサスペンスだ。
