To protect her hometown and main occupation raising buffaloes, Ploy must make the best of the inevitable and marries Jomthap, a young village chief she suspects in connected to the group of investors buying up village land. By marrying him, she can keep a close eye on him. She faces trouble from a sharp-tongued mother-in-law and the fact that she nor Jomthap ever say how they truly feel.
