Israel van Dorsten, die zelf 25 jaar lang in een geïsoleerd gezin in Ruinerwold leefde, is binnenkort te zien met zijn EO-serie Klinkt als een Sekte. Hierin ontmoet hij lotgenoten uit andere geïsoleerde gemeenschappen. Hij praat met hen over hoe deze gesloten systemen ontstaan, hoe mensen erin verstrikt raken en wat er nodig is om weer vrij te worden.
