Vera invites Gary and the twins to Blackpool as well. Mark makes a decision to leave Weatherfield and go to Thailand, knowing that Linda will never tell Mike the truth. Mark writes Mike a letter, telling him that he's left the country. He is emotional and hugs him for the last time before leaving the letter for him. The Masked Python performs at the Rovers where a drunken Janice pulls off his mask. Sam is mortified when his mother Brenda Kingston turns out to be in the pub. She is furious and drags him home. Linda tells Mark that she loves him and will tell Mike about them. He warns her that he's leaving the country at midnight and is stunned that she's chosen him over Mike.
