    John Bishop's Big Year sees John Bishop perform a structured stand-up comedy review of 2012. In front of a live studio audience, John uses his trademark humour to examine all the major talking points from the past 12 months. Using a mix of his own jokes, archive footage and some bespoke comedy sketches written and performed by sketch troupe Pappy's, John reminds the viewers of the highs and lows of 2012 before giving his unique take on each area. In this, the first of two episodes, John tackles possibly the biggest event of the year in the Olympics, as well as getting to grips with the economy.
