Over two years ago, I began my vegan journey. I cannot even express how much going vegan has altered my perception and enhanced my life. It's the best decision I've ever made. I have a great love for animals and this planet- that alone drives my passion (my personal health gain from veganism is just a bonus). I will never give up on being the voice that they need during this time. I will always fight for them. I will help people realize that we've been living mindlessly and without compassion. We do NOT need to kill to survive, and it needs to come to an end. History/Religion does NOT equal justification. "History/Religion" has been the justification for MANY wrong-doings. For the past couple years I have struggled to find good replacements for all my favorite non-vegan beauty products. After using the same products for years it can be HARD to give them up!! But I figure, the more you try, the closer you'll get to finding what works best for you! Cruelty-free was an easy transition for me... but FULL VEGAN BEAUTY? That's been tough. Most quality eye shadows, lip products and blushes contain animal ingredients. Remember, going 100% vegan (diet, clothing/shoes, beauty, hygeine products, cleaning supplies, etc.) is a JOURNEY. I have always found it most effective to go slow and find replacements at your own pace. FML... the mascara isn't vegan! It has beeswax??? WHY? I'm face-palming. I was under the impression that 100% Pure was ALL vegan. I'm so sad. But you see... this is the damn struggle!!! -_- Also, some people have commented mentioning that the shine spray isn't vegan? I looked up the ingredients on Sephora and it says it has beeswax and keratin, yet on my bottle it doesn't say that?

I'm finally going through with the plastic surgery! You only live once, so you gotta live how you wanna LIVE, people! I'm excited for this change... and while I'm sure many will disagree with it, I truly don't care! I do what I want to do! :P
This vlog was filmed right before my surgery and I was just now able to edit/post it! My surgery went REALLY well, and I've healed SO quickly! I already got my packing taken out today and almost all the swelling has gone down. From what I can see, I'm SUPER happy with it!! I get the cast off next week, and I'll check back in with you guys then! Thanks for the love and support! :)

NOTE: These tips are merely options for ENHANCING the beauty that you already have! I am by NO MEANS, saying that you NEED to do these things to be pretty. I am simply sharing with you tips that I have learned over the years that have made ME feel prettier and in turn, boosted my confidence. YES, confidence CAN come from within. I am confident even without all of these things, which is why I used the term "confidence BOOSTER". Because they DO boost me! Let's all be honest here, when we find a lil' somethin' somethin' that makes us feel prettier (new haircut, outfit, lipstick, etc.) we feel BOSS. I was only trying to help spark THAT feeling. Also, I am a firm believer in the power of inner beauty! And maybe one day I will make a video on tips for achieving beauty from within! I am NOT saying that outer beauty trumps that. It's just that THIS specific video is addressing how to be prettier from the outside. The word pretty, by definition, is synonymous with "visually attractive". And attraction is not as subjective as most of us may think. There are two main things that we are all genetically programed to find attractive- 1.) facial symmetry and 2.) signs of good health. Threaded eyebrows, eyelash extensions and cat eyeliner- all help create an illusion of a symmetrical face. Glowing skin, shiny hair, sun-kissed cheeks and moisturized skin- all create an illusion of good health. These tips were not mindless, there is logic behind them. You can be beautiful from within and ALSO show some concern for being outwardly attractive. That doesn't make me vain, it makes me REAL for admitting it- as we all want to be viewed as pretty. Now I'm not saying that there is only ONE formula to achieve beauty, HOWEVER, I am saying that these tips have personally made ME feel prettier. Join me on my day as I celebrate Thanksgiving (vegan styleeeee)! I hope you enjoy! Much love! :) RECIPES! → spinach artichoke dip: make cheese (blend: cashews, browned onion, lemon juice, almond milk, apple cider vinegar, vegan butter, nutritional yeast, garlic salt, seasoned salt & corn starch) then pour over chopped spinach & artichoke hearts; mix well. bake for 20-30 minutes. → meat + cheese plate: (crackers, dayia jalepeno harvarti cheese, yves veggie salami) → holiday roast: (garden holiday roast) → green bean casserole: make soup (blend: vegetable broth, browned onion, boiled cauliflower, seasoned salt, pepper) then pour over green beans & crispy fried onions; mix. bake, covered, for 45 minutes. uncover, add more crispy fried onions on top, bake for an additional 15 minutes. → mashed potatoes + gravy: boiled potatoes, almond milk, vegan butter, garlic salt, & pepper- mashed together (+ tofurky gravy) → sweet potatoes: slice sweet potatoes, lightly boil, then allow to cool. toss in vegan butter and brown sugar. stack and top with vegan marshmallow pieces. bake for 20 minutes. → stuffing: stuffing mix, browned onion, cooked celery, dried cranberries, vegetable broth. mix & cover. uncover and bake for 20 minutes. → cranberry crescent rolls: spread cranberry sauce inside the crescent rolls, roll, then bake as usual.

These fries are much better than normal fries (deep-fried) and even traditional baked fries (coated in oil) because they are HEALTHY (oil-free/fat-free) but still crispy and delicious! I know that many of us (myself included) have made it our New Year's resolution to eat better, so I thought it would be appropriate to do a "What I Ate Today" and share some of my favorite healthy (whole-food/vegan) recipes! Eating right becomes easier the moment that you begin to associate it with pleasure. If you have the mentality that you're punishing yourself you will struggle to stick with it. It's so important to find pleasure in healthy eating... which means that you have to find healthy recipes that you genuinely enjoy eating! It IS possible and I hope this video helps! Much love! :) RECIPES! → strawberry coconut oatmeal: boil steel cut oats in water // after 20-25 minutes, stir in cinnamon and vanilla, plus (optional) ground flax seed and chia seed // cover and remove from heat (allow to cool/thicken) // serve with shredded coconut, sliced almonds and fresh strawberry slices → kale white bean soup: in a pan, brown a large onion in a bit of veggie broth, set aside // in a large soup pot, bring 2 cans of diced tomatoes (in tomato juice) to a boil // add a large can of white beans, as well as the browned onion // add water to get the right liquid-to-veggies ratio // add dry barley // add fresh kale, potatoes and carrots // add pepper and seasoned salt // reduce heat and cook on medium-low for 1-2 hours (until base has thickened and potatoes begin to fall apart) → garlic hummus + veggies: make hummus (blend: 2 cans of garbanzo beans, fresh garlic, lemon juice, water, cumin, garlic salt and turmeric) // refrigerate hummus for at least 1 hour // serve with veggies of your choice → broccoli alfredo pasta: make sauce (in a pan, brown a large onion in a bit of veggie broth // add in garlic, cauliflower and veggie broth, then cook (covered) for 10 minutes // transfer mixture to a blender and blend until smooth // add in cashews, lemon juice, seasoned salt, pepper and nutritional yeast and blend until smooth) // in a pan, steam broccoli // in a p

While I’ve always considered myself to be a moderately healthy vegan, lately I’ve felt inspired to take it up a notch! You could say that I’ve fallen into a black hole when it comes to researching optimum nutrition; I’m so captivated by the idea of becoming super human. With every bite, we truly have the option of giving our bodies a whole plethora of benefits. Anti-aging, increasing serotonin (happiness), preventing cancer, sharpening memory, fighting off disease… just to name a few! Our bodies were designed (via evolution) to consume whole foods in their natural form (think: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds). When we do otherwise (er, processed junk) the body just does not know what to do with it and issues inevitably arise. However, if you’re anything like me, then staying completely away from junk food is NOT an option (candy is my vice). But it doesn’t have to be all or nothing! I personally strive to eat the best I can while at home and then treat myself whenever I’m out and about! It’s been working really well for me and I have faith that it can work well for you, too!
