With short, intense work outs and fast recipes, Joe Wicks promises to turn viewers' health and lifestyle around. He begins by meeting four people battling their health, diet and body confidence. They include Natalie from Lowestoft, who doesn't want to be a fat bridesmaid at her brother's wedding, and teacher Asa, whose bad-boy diet and fondness for a G and T has caused his weight to balloon.

Jake from Oldham takes regular exercise - walking from his desk to the printer - and lives on a diet of fast food. Jake wants to get fit again. Elise from Bradford has lost all her body confidence and it's stopping her enjoying activities with her children. Joe helps her to restart her recipe repertoire with tasty healthy meals that she and her sons can enjoy.
