Das Äquivalent von fünfzig Weltreisen waren notwendig, um den A380 zu testen. 24 Testpiloten, 17 Flugingenieure und sieben Mechaniker wechselten sich für 18 Monate am Steuer von fünf Prototypen ab. Vingt-quatre pilotes d'essais, 17 ingénieurs navigants et sept mécaniciens se sont relayés aux commandes de cinq prototypes pendant 18 mois. Sur la base aérienne d'Istres, l'équipe a testé la structure de l'avion et les vitesses maximum de décollage.

The equivalent of fifty world tours were necessary to test the A380. Twenty-four test pilots, 17 flight engineers and seven mechanics took turns at the controls of five prototypes for 18 months. At the Istres air base, the team tested the structure of the plane and the maximum take-off speeds.
