Daria při řízení auta málem přejede psa. Její matka Helen chce, aby si Daria kvůli perifernímu vidění pořídila kontaktní čočky. Daria si jde tedy pro radu ke Quinn, která si myslí, že touží po změně vzhledu. Daria si konaktní čočky pořídí, ale jelikož ji pálí oči chodí bez nich a potřebuje tak Janein doprovod. Helen je naštvaná, že ji píše její sestra Amy, která ji podle jejich slov píše jen proto, aby ji vytočila.
Helen suggests that Daria get contact lenses after a bad driving lesson, which Daria eventually agrees upon. However, Daria finds the contact lenses extremely uncomfortable and doesn't want to wear them anymore. But, not wanting to go back to the glasses, she winds up spending a day wearing neither one and bumping into people. Eventually, Brittany gives her some helpful advice about being herself.
