Rafe fights his feelings for Hope as they continue to investigate the Necktie Killer case. She bolsters him as he expresses doubt about Chad's guilt. Meanwhile, Aiden toys with the idea of forging Stefano's signature on a check, but then dismisses the idea as too risky. As a captive Bo struggles to regain his strength, Steve shows Victor photos of Bo meeting with a Britta Englund look-alike. Victor then reveals that Bo, before heading off on his secret ISA mission, went off the grid to find a cure for Caroline's rare neurological disease. Steve sets off to find the Britta look-alike, hoping she will lead him to Bo. Earlier, Kayla argues with Joey over a fight he had at school, wondering if all this acting out is to get his father's attention. Joey storms off and is later discovered by Steve as a stowaway on the Kiriakis jet. Julie and Maggie become alert to Caroline's worsening mental state, as they find her talking to an imaginary Shawn. They bring her to Kayla, who assures her mother they will fight this together. In private, however, Kayla confides in Victor that it does not look good. Victor summons Dr. Salinas to Salem, telling him his cure is Caroline's only hope. A grieving Eve packs up Paige's things with Theresa. Eve is stunned when Eduardo, Paige's father, shows up. She lays into him for abandoning Paige. Eduardo knows he is guilty as charged and takes some of Eve's abuse before they find some comfort in an awkward embrace.
