Every wound and every death that has resulted from the fighting has caused a suffering that is universal. In Northern Ireland today, violence affects everybody. '... For three years people have been shot, maimed, blown up - everything. It's just taken as an everyday occurrence ... ' (Belfast bomb victim who lost both legs.)
