Un emigrante africano se esconde en el cobertizo de una casa señorial andaluza. Desde ahí contempla la vida cotidiana y la dinámica entre la señora de la casa y su joven asistenta. Un día es descubierto por la señora, y un tiempo después por la criada, pero ambas se lo ocultan a la otra, hasta que un imprevisto destapa el secreto.
