8歳の心を持った23歳の精神障害のある女性のゆずは、同様の障害を持つ男性の宗介に恋をします。 宗介が致命的な事故に巻き込まれた後、ゆずの家族は彼女が彼の子供を妊娠して5ヶ月であることを発見しました。 ゆずは子供を産むつもりですが、母親の美代子はすぐに反対します。 家族が妊娠を受け入れた後、ゆずはやがて娘のひまわりを出産する。 ゆずは彼女に多くの可能性を持って、彼女がとても愛している娘の世話をするために最善を尽くします。
