Wu Tao is a loser. He lives a fairly boring life working for an advertising agency, crushing on his cute co-worker, and watching a lot of porn. Since his life sucks, Wu Tao also likes to get lost in fantastical day dreams. One day, Wu Tao opens a file he believes to be a rare and coveted uncensored Maria Takagi adult film (at work!) which turns out to be a virus that destroys his hard drive. The file also activates Lionel, a humanized computer program that calls himself a Tracer. He tells Wu Tao that it is his duty to serve his Veeker, Wu Tao. But what the heck is a Veeker? After that, the weird events just keep on coming and Wu Tao's life is turned upside down. Is it all just an elaborate fantasy, or is Wu Tao part of some elaborate plot involving assassins, time travel, mind control, and necrotic (but cute) robots? If he wants to survive, Wu Tao is going to have to figure out what exactly a Veeker is and what it all has to do with him... quickly.
