水沢麻子は、2年前の老婆の死まで、義母からの絶え間ないしつこい批判の下で生きてきた。彼女がリラックスして家の愛人であることを楽しむことができるちょうどその時、彼女の一人息子は彼がリリカという名前の女の子と結婚していることを彼女に知らせます。麻子と夫のひろゆきは結婚に反対しているが、役に立たない。リリカを怖がらせることを考えて、麻子は新婚夫婦が一緒に引っ越すという条件で、彼女を義理の娘として受け入れると彼女に言います。
