Mit ihren Pferden "Serano" und "Amadeus" begeben sich die beiden Sportstudentinnen Juliana Klein und Rebecca Bojen an die Ruhr, um auf einer alten Handelsstraße über 200 Kilometer von Mühlheim bis nach Dortmund zu reiten. Die Wege sind heute kaum noch erkennbar und so wird es für sie nicht leicht, zwischen Beton und Blechlawinen die alte Strecke wiederzufinden. Die besondere Reise in die Vergangenheit eröffnet den Beiden einen neuen Blick auf die heutigen Lebensumstände im "Pott".
