Moses and Homer: The first supposedly wrote the Bible, the second the Iliad and the Odyssey. Moses set the foundations of the Jewish monotheist people, Homer those of the Greek polytheist people. From these two incomparable texts emerged the destiny of Europe and the world. When and how did this “merger” happen ? The documentary aims to shed the light on this non-obvious yet major union. The Septuagint, first greek translation of the Bible in the 2nd century B.C., appears to be the conclusion of a long dialogue between the Bible and the Greek thought, as well as the starting point of the modern world.
