تدور أحداث القصة خلال فترة حكم المماليك بين القاهرة وبغداد ودمشق، حول (دليلة) وهي امرأة جميلة ذكية جدًا لكنها في نفس الوقت خبيثة للغاية، حيث تسعى دليلة لتحقيق أهدافها بأية وسيلة ممكنة دون النظر لنتائج هذه الوسائل وأضرارها على الآخرين، وفي المقابل هناك الفتى الشجاع (زيبق) الذي يواجه دليلة وشرورها المختلفة في صراع بين الخير والشر.
