日本の裏社会に生きる生涯孤独な男・女衒（ぜげん）の壮絶な復讐劇を軸に、日本に蔓延る闇を描いたダークエンタテインメント。壮絶な過去を持つ斡旋屋・女衒、闘病中の夫のために日本で働く中国人女性、そして会ったこともない女性と偽装結婚をすることになる中年男──三人の境遇や想いが交互に描かれ、復讐譚とメロドラマが並走していく。
