تدور القصة حول الصراع الطبقي بين طبقة الإقطاعيين القدامى متمثلة في عائلة العزايزة وطبقة الملاك الجدد متمثلة في عائلة السوالم الذين كانوا أجراء فيما مضى، ويلجأ السوالم لطرق غير شرعية للحصول على المال لمنافسة العزايزة على كرسي مجلس الشعب الذي كان حكرًا على العزايزة.

The story revolves around the class struggle between the old feudal class represented by the Al-Azaizah family and the new landlord class represented by the Al-Sawalem family, who were wage earners in the past. Al-Sawalim resorts to illegal methods to obtain money to compete with the Al-Azaizah for the seat of the People’s Assembly, which was the preserve of the Al-Azaizah.
