The story is set in a world in which humanity triumphed over other races in a war for hegemony. However, this is rewritten with a new reality where humanity lost the war of the five races, and its hero Sid is nowhere to be found. Only a young boy named Kai is aware of this change, and other humans seem to have forgotten his existence. After meeting the mysterious Rinne, Kai resolves to go against humanity’s altered fate.

Pourquoi personne ne se souvient du monde d'avant ? La Grande Guerre pour la suprématie globale qui opposa les cinq races se solda par la victoire de l'humanité, menée par le héros Sid. Les ennemis furent scellés dans de gigantesques tombeaux, dont Kai assure aujourd'hui la surveillance. Mais soudain, le monde est "réécrit" sous les yeux de ce dernier. Désormais, du fait de l'inexistence de Sid, des dragons et des démons dominent la surface, les humains doivent se cacher pour subsister et, étrangement, personne ne connaît Kai. Le jeune soldat n'a pas le choix : il va se rebeller contre ce destin réécrit pour tenter de remettre en place le monde tel qu'il était avant !
