Spooner's Patch

Inspector Spooner (Ronald Fraser) is in charge of a small police station in Woodley, London. He's a vain, eccentric man who lives in a flat above the "cop shop". His methods of policing are rather unconvential and he's not averse to taking the odd "back-hander". Ronald Fraser was replaced by Donald Churchill for the last two series. Three episodes of Spooner’s Patch no longer exist in the archives, and one is irreparably damaged. Writer Ray Galton kept personal copies for himself these copies now form part of the archive instead of the originals. Made by ATV for the ITV Network with Series 3 being presented by ATV's franchise replacement, Central Independent Television.
