Walt Disney's take on Tarzan
Follow the extraordinary adventures of an orphaned infant raised by gorillas and ultimately accepted as one of their own. Together with his wisecracking ape buddy Terk and neurotic elephant pal Tantor, Tarzan learns how to "surf" and swing through trees and survive in the jungle. As Tarzan matures into a young man, his life changes forever when he finally meets other humans, with whom he feels an immediate and irresistible bond.
As Tarzan and Jane prepare to celebrate their first year in the jungle, Jane searches for the perfect gift for Tarzan. Enlisting the help of her gorilla and elephant pals, Terk and Tantor, they remind her what an exciting year it's been, from outsmarting prowling panthers to lava surfing down an erupting volcano. But that's nothing compared to what Tarzan has in store for Jane—a surprise that'll show her just how much he understands her world.
When one of his missteps puts his family in jeopardy, Tarzan decides they would be better off without him.
