The Return of the Cisco Kid

In Arizona a young woman who's being manipulated by an evil businessman is helped by the Cisco Kid who happens to be there on holiday.

Lucky Cisco Kid

1940

Cisco and Gordito arrive to find there is an outlaw operating in the area who is assumed to be the Cisco Kid. When a reward is offered for his capture and a large shipment of money goes out, Cisco is on hand. Seeing the gang rob the stage he goes after them only to be wounded. The gang leader leaves Cisco's handkerchief at the scene and now he is wanted for the murder he tried to break up.

Viva Cisco Kid

The Cisco Kid tells his pal Gordito that "From now on, Amigo, I am through with women" and then a few minutes later, after rescuing Joan Allen from an attempted stage holdup, tells her "...but you, senorita, you are different!" and therein lies the short summary of all of the films in the 20th Century-Fox Cisco Kid series. The padded plot, so exhibitors could tell the entries apart, finds Towash, Texas saloon owner Hank Gunther plotting with Jesse Allen, Joan's father, to rob the money missed on the aborted stage holdup from the express company safe rather than report empty-handed to the "Boss". Allen robs the express office, but is seen by Moses, an old hermit, who tells the boys in the saloon that he doesn't know the robber's name but recognized him as the man he had seen that day with Joan. The latter has convinced her father to return the money and they will go to Arizona. Cisco, also seen that day with Joan, gets blamed for the robbery as Gunther has killed ol' Mose who is no ...

The Gay Caballero

The Cisco Kid and his buddy Gordito arrive in town and learn that Cisco is supposedly dead. Not only that: Before his death, he is believed to have attempted to steal Susan Wetherby's land.

Romance of the Rio Grande

1940

Wealthy and respected rancher Don Fernando de Vega fears for the future of his ranch after his death and sends for his grandson, Carlos Hernandez. Carlos is waylaid on his journey and seriously wounded. The famous bandit, the Cisco Kid, discovers that he is an exact double for the wounded Carlos. Cisco decides to "inherit" the ranch himself, and passes himself off as the long-awaited Carlos. But he discovers that Don Fernando's ostensibly loyal nephew Ricardo is plotting to inherit the ranch himself, and the attack on Carlos was Ricardo's first attempt to do so. Now Ricardo faces a healthy and unwounded "Carlos," and the Cisco Kid comes to respect the ailing Don Fernando so much that he considers saving the ranch not for himself but for Don Fernando's intended heir.

Ride on Vaquero

1941

The Cisco Kid is captured while keeping a rendezvous with cantina dancer Dolores but is released by his captor, the commander of a U.S. Army regiment, to help break up a kidnap ring. On his way to Las Tables with his pal, Gordito, he makes a stop at the Martinez Rancho, where they learn that his friend Carlos has been kidnapped, from his wife Marquerita. At the Crystal Palace Saloon, Cisco runs into an old girlfriend, Sally, who he once jilted for a tight-rope walker, but she doesn't betray him when the sheriff and an army officer enter searching for Cisco.

The Cisco Kid Returns

1945

The Cisco Kid and Pancho stop the marriage of Rosita to Harris by claiming that Cisco is already married to her, and exhibit a borrowed child, Nancy as proof. Cisco carries off the furious Rosita, but finds, when returning Nancy, that her real father has been shot to death. Assuming responsibility for Nancy, Cisco sends her and Rosita to stay with Tia, and he visits the local padre. Harris and Conway scheme to get custody of the child, so they can obtain the money left to her by her father. As part of the plot, an actress, comes to town posing as the girl's mother, accompanied by her maid Jeanette. Rosita, jealous of the attention Cisco is paying to Jeanette, tells Harris where the child is being kept in hiding. Cisco sends Pancho to the sheriff with a message promising to give himself up for "kidnapping" Nancy if the sheriff will bring along "Mrs. Page" and Conway.

Gallant Cisco "kidnaps" murder suspect Ellen from the authorities, then sets about to prove her innocence, all with the cooperation of a sympathetic sheriff.

The Gay Cavalier

1946

Roland plays The Cisco Kid, who sets out on a double mission. He must prevent a girl from marrying a wealthy suitor in order to save her family's hacienda, thus forsaking her true love in doing so; and also apprehend the outlaws who robbed a stagecoach carrying gold to a local Mission (Christian). He eventually finds that the wealthy suitor is behind the gold robbery, a revelation that makes his task much easier.

South of Monterey

The Cisco Kid (Gilbert Roland) hears of a land-swindling scheme devised by the police Commandante (Martin Garralaga) and the tax collector (Harry Woods) in a small western town. Cisco's efforts against the plot cause the thieves to fall out, and Cisco is able to return the land to the rightful owners.

Riding the California Trail

Chasing women and staying one step ahead of the law, the Cisco Kid meets Raquel and then Dolores. He sees that Raoul is the boy friend of Raquel but engaged to Dolores. Learning that all her money will got to her uncle Don Jose when she marries Raoul, Cisco suspects a plot and sets out to unravel it.

The Gay Amigo

1949

Chasing Mexican bandits, the Captain sees Cisco and Pancho ride away. Assuming they are the bandits he captures them and then lets them go. He has them followed figuring they will lead him to the entire gang. Cisco learns the editor and the blacksmith are the leaders. He makes the blacksmith think his partner double-crossed him and then joins up with him as his new partner planning to lead the entire gang into a trap.

Satan's Cradle

1949

Crooked lawyer Steve Gentry (Douglas Fowley) has plans to take over the town and mines of Silver City from Jim Mason Frank Matts). He kills Mason in what looks like a mine accident, and then brings in Lil ('Ann Savage'), who produces a fake marriage certificate and takes over Mason's property as his widow. Preacher Henry Lane (Byron Foulger) attempts to arouse the townspeople to drive out Gentry, Lil and their cohorts and is beaten up by a couple of the Gentry henchmen. The Cisco Kid (Duncan Renaldo) and Pancho (Leo Carrillo) encounter the preacher, and head for Silver City. They subsequently reveal Gentry's machinations, and restore Silver City to the decent town it previously was.

The Girl from San Lorenzo

Cisco and Pancho set out to clear their names in a series of stage robberies committed by two thugs who are impersonating them.

The Cisco Kid

Early syndicated Western that was one of the first television shows to be filmed in color. Based on characters created by O. Henry, the series dealt with the adventures of the Robin Hood like bandit, the Cisco Kid, and his sidekick, Pancho. Duncan Renaldo and Leo Carillo played Cisco and Pancho respectively.

The Cisco Kid and Poncho are about to be executed by the French, who have taken over part of Mexico, when an attack on the prison by rebels allows them both to escape. Still chained together, they steal a burro and ride to a nearby village where they come upon a tax collector and several soldiers in the process of taking money from the villagers. The pair manage to overcome the soldiers, and using their guns, free themselves from the chains and rob the tax collector.
