In The Voice Kids wordt op zoek gegaan naar Nederlands jeugdig zangtalent. Na een blinde auditie zijn er drie juryleden/coaches die de talenten begeleiden door met hen te trainen en ook samen optredens te verzorgen.

Zwycięzcy tego etapu trafiają do kolejnej fazy - "Sing Off", która wyłoni szóstkę finalistów - po dwie osoby z każdej drużyny. W odcinku finałowym zostanie wyłoniony zwycięzca. Nagroda to tytuł "The Voice Kids", stypendium oraz szansa nagrania piosenki.
