An infamous world-class spy and playboy from the 1960s is thawed out by British intelligence after thirty years in a cryogenic state in order to stop his arch-nemesis Dr. Evil and his ridiculous plot to take over the world.
In 1999, spy Austin Powers (character) enjoys his honeymoon with his wife, Vanessa Kensington. She turns out to be a Gynoid controlled by Austin's nemesis Dr. Evil (character). She attempts to kill Austin, then self-destructs. Austin grieves briefly before realizing he is single again and thus can one-night stand. A NATO monitoring facility observes the return of Dr. Evil, who confronts his son Scott and starts a coup on ''The Jerry Springer Show''. At Dr. Evil's Dr. Evil#Lairs, Dr. Evil is presented with a one-eighth-size cloning of himself, whom he names Mini-Me.
Upon learning that his father has been kidnapped, Austin Powers must travel to 1975 and defeat the aptly named villain Goldmember, who is working with Dr. Evil.
