Le jeune capitaine Lemoine se fait tuer au cours d’une intervention qu’il a effectuée sans l’accord de son supérieur le commandant Mallory.Ce dernier est inconsolable : Lemoine était comme un fils spirituel, il lui avait demandé d’être le parrain de son fils de 7 ans.Suite à ce drame, Mallory n’a désormais qu’un objectif : retrouver les assassins de Lemoine. Il en fait une affaire personnelle. Mais il va être obligé de composer et de s’opposer à la jeune capitaine Lindberg envoyée de Paris pour superviser l’enquête.
