La jeune Ai emménage dans un paisible village peuplé d'animaux dont le mode de vie est semblable à celui des Humains. Très vite, elle se fait des amis et s'établit dans ce village.
Ce film adapte la série de jeux "Animal Crossing" et reprend assez fidèlement son univers doux et coloré.
Ai, una chica que se acaba de mudar al pueblo de los animales, comienza una gran amistad con Rita, la cual sueña con ser diseñadora. Ai encuentra varios mensajes en botellas en la playa. Viendo a su amiga, comienza a darse cuenta de que ya es hora de que ella también comience a cumplir sus propios sueños, por lo que decide llevar a cabo los encargos de dichos mensajes para poder ver que pasará en el festival de invierno del pueblo.

This is the story of a young self-reliant girl called Ai, who one day, moves into the Animal Village. While working at Tom Nook's shop "Nook's Cranny" she begins living her life away from her family. To begin with, she doesn't know left from right, but under the guidance of Mayor Tortimer, the angry but correct Mr. Resetti, and the wandering musician K.K. Slider among others, she is eventually accepted as a member of the village. One night as she walked along the beach, she finds a message in the bottle. It sets her off on a quest of planting pine trees around the village to fulfill a miracle on the eve of the Winter Festival.
