Between a Smile and a Tear

Sommeren 2004. Sted: København. Byens gamle legendariske jazzhus, Montmartre genåbnes for første gang i over 30 år. Men kun for en ganske kort bemærkning (2 dage). I dagens anledning samles nogle af jazzhusets ældste veteraner, sammen med en håndfuld yngre "efterkommere", for at gøre status over livet, og for at levere et livsbekræftende musikalsk testamente , i form af en stribe enestående koncerter i det gamle jazzhus.
