Commando - A One Man Army

Karanveer Singh Dogra (Vidyut Jammwal) a.k.a. Karan is a commando with the Indian Army's 9 Para. During routine helicopter training their helicopter crashes on the Chinese side of the border. The lone survivor of the wreckage, Karan is captured by Chinese officials. As the crash happened on a river and wreckage of the chopper got washed away, Karan, as well as his seniors, are not able to convince the Chinese of his innocence. The Chinese feel they can use these circumstances to brand him as an Indian spy and use this political leverage to embarrass the Indian government and create an international fracas. The Indian government feels that under such politically unfavorable circumstances, the Chinese will not accept any proof of Karan having crashed during a routine training exercise so they order the Army to erase Karan's army record, identities and simply deny his existence. Due to this Karan has to suffer inhuman torture from the Chinese Army for one year in a bid to force a confession out of him.

करणवीर सिंह डोगरा (विद्युत जामवाल) ए.के. करण भारतीय सेना के 9 पैरा के साथ एक कमांडो हैं। नियमित हेलीकॉप्टर प्रशिक्षण के दौरान उनके हेलीकॉप्टर सीमा के चीनी तरफ दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो जाते हैं। मलबे से जीवित बचे, करण को चीनी अधिकारियों ने पकड़ लिया। जैसे ही एक नदी पर दुर्घटना घटी और हेलिकॉप्टर का मलबा बह गया, करन और साथ ही उसके सीनियर्स भी उसकी मासूमियत से चीनियों को समझा नहीं पा रहे हैं। चीनियों को लगता है कि वे इन परिस्थितियों का इस्तेमाल कर उसे भारतीय जासूस बना सकते हैं और इस राजनीतिक लाभ का इस्तेमाल करके भारत सरकार को शर्मिंदा कर सकते हैं और एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर का उपद्रव खड़ा कर सकते हैं। भारत सरकार को लगता है कि ऐसी राजनीतिक रूप से प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों में, चीनी एक नियमित प्रशिक्षण अभ्यास के दौरान करण के दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने के किसी भी प्रमाण को स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे, इसलिए वे करण की सेना के रिकॉर्ड, पहचान को मिटाने के लिए सेना को आदेश देते हैं और उसके अस्तित्व को नकारते हैं। इसकी वजह से करण को चीनी सेना से एक वर्ष के लिए उसे स्वीकार करने के लिए बाध्य होना पड़ा।
