European Tour '73 is a 15-minute documentary film utilizing archival Super 8mm film footage and original animation about a son's contemporary reflection as seen through the haze of memory and nostalgia looking back at a long ago family trip to Europe in the summer of 1973. Equal parts humorous family travelogue, part documentary parody, part military history lesson, the film eventually builds towards the revelation of the trip's true purpose: that of a father fulfilling his dream of reconnecting his 5 small children to the steps of his own father when he fought for the Canadian military in WW2 through a trip to Europe in 1973.
